Cinnamon's Happy Story Nov. 2010

One day I was at the Vet's office to pick up a new kitten we were going to adopt. Well, he had a friend named Cinnamon. She was so small and afraid of everything. She was the mother of Miss Hissy and Pumpkin. They asked us if we would take Cinnamon along with the kitten since they were such good friends. We thought for a moment and said "sure".

Cinnamon came home with us and we were told she would probably hide. Well to my surprise she didn’t. Cinnamon came out of the cage and made herself right to home. She would stand at the corner of the couch and just look at every thing going on. Well it wasn’t very long before she was running around the house playing like a kitten. She however never let us touch her.

It has been some time since we received Cinnamon and she is such a wonderful cat. Now, she lets me hold her and is always up for "pets". She talks a lot and has the cutest way she cocks her head when it is treat time. She also has favorite toys. One of her favorite toys is a hard ball that has a bell in it. At night she will race up and down the hall chasing the ball. We have gotten used to the rattle and ringing as she loves the hard wood floors and the loose rugs that lay on them.

Her favorite place to sleep is under the fireplace hearth in her bed. She is such a sweet little thing. She is much smaller than Miss Hissy and Pumpkin. She loves to roll over and have her tummy rubbed and she purrs so loud. We are so happy to have her with us. When the door is open she never wants to go outside, not even in the pen. I think she has seen enough of outside for her lifetime.

I have always been told you cannot tame a feral, yea right! With a lot of love and patience anything is possible. Cinnamon proved that. We love her so much and are so happy she is with us.
